Neighborhood Typography Book

This project is a typographic book that explores how typography can communicate movement, memory, and psychological tension within a specific environment. Based on observational research of a Southern California neighborhood, the book translates sensory experiences such as sound, smell, and spatial navigation into a narrative centered on routine, restriction, and temporary escape. A recurring system of typographic forms, combined with experimental processes including handmade type and print techniques, creates a cohesive visual language that guides the viewer through a maze-like sequence of spaces and shifting emotional states.
